Group Life cover is a benefit provided to your employees if they die from any cause or are diagnosed with a terminal illness (12 months or less to live). Cover is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, regarldess of whether the member is at work or during their own time.
The funds from any claim payment is made to the member’s surviving family, and allows them the opportunity to grieve without the financial burden of being without an income.
Benefits can be set at a fixed amount, or calculated as a multiple of salary. If minimum numbers of a group are met, generally cover can be accepted to high levels without any member needing to be underwritten, and all members are accepted at standard rates without exclusions or premium loadings applied.
