Nick is a Life, Health and KiwiSaver Adviser with Maurice Trapp Group.

In 2010 I suffered a serious rugby injury that left my arm paralysed, which ignited my passion for insurance.

This personal experience taught me that life can change in an instant, highlighting the importance of safeguarding you and your loved ones against unforeseen risks and planning for your future and retirement.

Nick has worked as an independent financial adviser as well as held various corporate roles with a leading Life and Health Insurer in New Zealand.

Outside of work, my personal life revolves around my family, Stacey my wife, our two young children, Kyla and Ashton, and my passion for cycling. I am actively involved with the New Zealand Para Cycling team, participating in multiple world championships and continuing to do so.

We did a little Q&A with Nick to get to know him better!

What is the best part about being an adviser?

This personal experience of paralysing my arm taught me that life can change in an instant, highlighting the importance of safeguarding you and your loved ones against unforeseen risks and planning for your future and retirement. Life throws you curve balls so being a Risk and KiwiSaver adviser, I love providing advice to protect family and Assets and help families plan for the future.

What is the best advice you can give to your clients as an adviser?

With risk insurance "a little bit of something, is better than a whole lot of nothing" New Zealanders aren't bulletproof so make sure you protect yourself and your loved ones. Use an Adviser!!

What is the best time for clients to contact you?

Anytime, when is right for them is right for me.
