Q. What inspired you to become a Mortgage Broker?
A. Over the years of dealing with advisers for my own mortgages I found that there didn’t seem to be enough education on how the mortgage process worked and what options were available. I ended up doing quite a bit of research myself and then passing that information on to friends and family. Fast forward a few years and with a lot of changes to the industry, I couldn’t keep up while also working a full time job. So I took the plunge! Quitting the job I’d been in for 8 years to be a mortgage adviser so that I can help people, educate them and make the mortgage process less intimidating.
Q. What is the best part of being a Mortgage Broker?
A. Problem solving! Finding ways to help my clients achieve their goals.
Q. How would you sum up being a Mortgage Broker in three words?
A. Helpful, Strategic & Attentive.
Q. If you were Prime Minister for one day, what would you do?
A. Ooh this is tricky! I think in terms of financial advice I would ensure there was more education on this in schools to help improve financial literacy.
With the rest of the day I would work on the mental health crisis and child poverty.Q. If you could have dinner with any three people (alive or dead), who would it be?
A. My Grandparents on my Dad’s side – My Grandma passed away when I was 20 and she was super special to me. I never had the opportunity to meet my Grandad so I would love to chat with him and hear his side of all of the stories.
My 18 year old self – I have a few pieces of advice to give her!Q. Complete this sentence: If I Wasn’t in Mortgage Broking, I would be…
A. Hmm, maybe a Virtual Assistant? I love organising things and making life easier for people, with the added bonus of being able to work from anywhere in the world.
